June 11

The 26th Annual Magnolia Ball

at the Country Club of Roswell

chaired by Bob Hagan

Bulloch Hall’s  26th Annual Magnolia Ball

“A Casablanca Evening”

is at the Country Club of Roswell

June 11, 2011, 7 p.m. until midnight

This splendid evening, chaired by Bob Hagan

raises funds for the preservation of Bulloch Hall, the 1839 childhood home of President Theodore Roosevelt’s mother, Mittie Bulloch.

Chair, Bob Hagan, Presenting Sponsor, Malon D. Mimms, Friends of Bulloch Board and the Magnolia Ball Committee will present a romantic and elegant evening of cocktails, silent and live auction shopping, dinner and dancing to the incredible sounds of the “Grapevine”. With the theme of “Casablanca” we look forward to men in white dinner jackets and women in 40’s inspired evening gowns. The centerpieces and decorations will reflect this romantic period.

Each year Bulloch Hall’s Magnolia Ball Committee invites a local artist to do his/her rendition of a magnolia for the cover design of the invitation and program. This year we are fortunate to have local artist and Caby Award winner, Joan Hilliard, donate her time and talent to the Magnolia Ball. Her original oil painting will be in the live auction, thank you Joan!

Proceeds from this affair will go toward recreating the 1840’s service yard and the construction of the buildings which formed it. The original site had two slave cabins (one of which has been reconstructed, the second is well on its way) and a carriage house. addition will enhance the tours and the visitors experience at Bulloch Hall.

Reservations for the 2011 Magnolia Ball are $150 per person. Please call Pam Billingsley, Bulloch Hall Site Coordinator at 770-992-1731 ext 2 for invitations and for sponsorships call Sponsor Co Chair, Ed Vaught, at 770.518.6681 or Chad Hagan at 404.394.6201
