Bulloch Hall’s summer offering for children ages 6-11 years is “Camp Rough Riders,” a one-week day camp program that includes history, crafts, activities and old fashioned skills. The camp runs July 9th – 13th from 9:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. The cost is $200 ($185 for Friends of Bulloch Hall members). Register by calling 770-992-1731 ext 2.
Campers have an active week doing things like exploring the Nature Trail at Bulloch Hall, where they learn to identify trees and plants. Campers learn how to give a tour of Bulloch Hall and show off their skills by giving tours for their families. Past camps have included a blacksmithing demonstration, making candles, stitching samplers, open-hearth cooking, woodworking, and dyeing fabric. Campers have also learned about bees, honey and beekeeping.
“Camp Rough Riders at Bulloch Hall was the best camp my son ever attended,” said a parent as he picked up his son after the week-long program.
